10th July 2017

Anne Main has been re-elected as chair of the APPG on Bangladesh.

During the group's AGM in parliament, the St Albans MP was adopted unopposed.

'I think members and ministers see the work that goes in to running the APPG.  We take the job seriously and provide an important link between Britain and Bangladesh.  Our purpose is to foster a greater understanding of the country of Bangladesh and provide a conduit for the Bangladeshi community here in the UK - I think the APPG more than fulfils this purpose.'
