Hate Crime

2nd August 2016

Anne with local group FACE (Faith and Culture Enterprise) to discuss problems with hate crime, and islamophobia in the district.

FACE’s mission is to bring faith and culture groups together: to celebrate diversity, support groups and enable them to learn from each other.   They seek to provide a collective voice for their members, raising awareness and promoting tolerance, creating opportunities to work in partnership to meet development needs and promoting community cohesion.

Further to the meeting Anne wrote to the ministries of justice and education, as well as the local council to highlight some of the issues raised at the meeting.
